UAV Plant Planned for Wahpeton, North Dakota

ComDel and Altavain have signed a agreement to open a UAV plant in Wahpeton, North Dakota.  The plant is expected to employ 10-20 workers producing UAVs for the commercial sector worldwide in agriculture, construction, and other traditional remote sensing applications.

According to the story, having North Dakota as one of the six FAA test sites along with the UAV programs at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, Lake Region Technical College in Devils Lake, and Northland College in Thief River Falls MN, and the GrandSky UAS commercial park at the Grand Forks Air Force Base are attractions.
