‘As Is’ 3D Modeling On Horizon

CAD suite software maker Bentley recently bought Acute3D, and is talking about the next step in remote sensing/3D modeling.  The story from the SPAR Point Group talks about deriving point clouds from any type of imagery, called a ‘reality mesh’.  It takes images from any device (smartphone, UAV, other aerial platforms) and creates a ‘As Is’ 3D model based on the images from the derived point clouds from the photographs.
