UAV Flights Increasing Across the US Even Though FAA Ban Still In Place

Even though the UAV Ban is still in place by the FAA, UAV sightings have been increasing all over the United States.  It is only legal in a few designated test sites (North Dakota is one).  Farmers and real estate agents across the country are just two examples of illegal UAV flights.  Some UAV flights have come close to airplane flight paths.

I have personally seen one of the flights over a farm field just west of the Minneapolis, Minnesota metro area earlier this year, so I know it is happening here.

It is anticipated that the FAA will loosen rules in September 2015, until then UAVs should only be flown in the few legal test sites across the country.
