Big Data on the Farm

In another good story from the ABC, it talked about Big Data on the farm and the opportunities to share data globally.  I can refer back to my asset tracking posts on the farm a few days ago along with expanding UAV flights for weekly to daily image or LiDAR/derived LiDAR products to acquire growth and damage to commodities due to multiple man-made and natural risks.

Processing data on this scale will need strong computing power as new techniques continue to be made to streamline processing of images and LiDAR data.
