UND and NDSU Parterning for UAV Research

Teams from both the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks and North Dakota State University in Fargo are teaming up for UAV research.  The UND team is working on the aircraft itself and the NDSU team is working on the agriculture aspects of the image data.

They are doing proof of concept studies now, it does not mention specific sensors, but it is probably imagery only at this time, I would hope they work in Velodyne’s new LiDAR sensor for other proof of concept studies.
