Grand Forks, North Dakota UAV Tech Park Close to Developer Agreement

The Grand Forks Herald (North Dakota) has a good story that the UAV Technology Park at the Grand Forks Air Force Base just west of the city is close to a developer agreement with Grand Sky Development of Texas to develop the Grand Sky UAV Technology Park on 217 leased acres on Grand Forks AFB.

This is good for the area, besides the John D. Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks (disclaimer, I am a graduate of the program), there is also a precision agriculture program at Lake Region State College in Devils Lake ND testing UAV use, and Northland Community and Technical College at Thief River Falls, Minnesota with a UAV program.  This continues to make northeast North Dakota and northwest Minnesota hubs for UAV research and development and training in the upper Midwest.
