NASA Developing US UAV Air Traffic Control System

A story in the New York Times on September 1, 2014 mentions that NASA is developing a automated air traffic control system for low flying, small UAVs when they are expected to take to the air after September 2015.

The first markets will be rural areas for agriculture and pipeline monitoring, the system will help for traffic control, low flying aircraft, distance from airports, and incoming inclement weather.
