Congressional Action needed on Highway Trust Fund in US

The United States Congress needs to act soon to keep the Highway Trust Fund solvent.  If they do not it will effect many construction and GIS/Geomatics companies who will find their federal government contracts drying up leading to many workers laid off and a rapid deterioration of the US transportation system hurting commerce.

These are good taxes for the economy, it is investing in the present and future, infrastructure is part of the R&D kickback all companies get from their taxes, it is a necessary cost of doing business.    A safe and reliable transportation system is good for commerce and public safety.  The political infighting has to stop for the greater good of the country.  Historically this has not been a partisan issue, I hope the US House does not make it one for petty political reasons.
