Wisconsin Legislature Considering Anti-UAV Bill

Wisconsin’s legislature today introduced a anti-UAV drone bill.  It is aimed at law enforcement but the last paragraph has a big loophole for future interpretation.  The actual bill is not up on Wisconsin’s legislative site yet (next day or two) but the problem is private individuals from using drones to intrude on others’ privacy except in clear public areas.

This language is way too vague on what a “individual” is (US Supreme Court has ruled corporations to be people) and just what is “public”.  It is not suitable to be passed into law in its current form, it could effect the aerial survey business.  We will see what happens.
